He is Risen!

Happy Easter Everyone!
Our Easter Triduum has been a special time with just us 4 at home. In Canada most employees get Good Friday and Easter Monday off, so Andrew's had the whole weekend off.  I know family would have loved to have us come celebrate with them but it really was nice to stay home and spend this time together. Andrew did some work in the garage, he made a planter's box for some veggie plants, we made a lot of food for today, went to Holy Thursday mass, Good Friday service and Easter Vigil. And yes we took Malachi to the vigil, he did amazing! We're so proud of him. We failed to get a family picture but here are a few, plus lots of the food we prepared for today's celebration.

 Easter Vigil
First attempt to take pics before Vigil mass, Malachi had just woken up and Daddy going downstairs to get his shoes was too much for Malachi to take.
Daddy makes everything better.
He was a little more lively after mass.

The deliciousness we enjoyed
Our after mass snack last night; homemade Challah from an elderly couple from church
We broke tradition and had banana bread with our eggs for breakfast, instead of cinnamon rolls...I figured we'd have enough sweets later.

Our favorite Greek Salad from The Barefoot Contessa on Food Network Channel.
Twice Baked potatoes
Before
After...YUM! Andrew used our charcoal BBQ...it turned out AMAZING!
Homemade chocolate peanut butter eggs...you know, like, the Reese's Easter eggs that are so delicious. These turned out just like them!
Strawberry Shortcake Cake, turned out pretty darn good, but how could you go wrong with strawberries and cream cheese frosting?
Roaming around the house while daddy bbq's.

Chocolate covered banana
He's so cute!

Our "Garden"
Lettuce!
Flowers, oregano, parsley, lettuce

Strawberries
Tomatoes in the back and basil in front.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Malachi's Baptism Day

Happy 1st Anniversary of your Baptism Malachi!
It's freaking me out to be posting this celebration...I was shocked to celebrate Avila's 1st birthday last week and now thinking it's been a year since Malachi's baptism is too much for me =).  I feel like I literally just posted about his baptism a couple of months ago, but really it's been a YEAR!

TBT: My Boys and National Sibling Day

Throw back Thursday of my boys. I wonder if come June there will be another boy added to the mix....or will the genders be equal in our household?

Not sure what it is about this photo but I love it!
Can't resist a sleeping baby with daddy.

And let's not forget National Sibling day...love my sisters so much and appreciate how close all of us have grown, especially just in the last couple of years.
